Let's just say none of my guy friends ever took a picture like that with me..... :innocent:

Glad to hear that! VF last February (Supermodel issue) said Val was married and planning on retiring in 2 years... Guess everything's quietly changed, huh? That pics with the guy feeling her up in the park is the worst...Her stock just dropped a bit - I always saw her as so classy...:(
 
Oh come on guys! Get off your moral high grounds and give the girl a break. She's not a hugely famous model so we don't have the details on everything. She's probably broken up with her husband and dating this guy.

She just seems like a girl up for a laugh who took a cheeky picture that by rights she probably didn't think would end up on the net for people like us to judge her on. She's done raunchier stuff in her modelling work and yet you all love that! You're being a contradiction.

Do you have that mag ? Could you please scan pics and the article, I'd love to read it... Or was it posted before ?

And, by the way, if these changes in her life mean she's not retiring in 2 years, I'm glad it's so... It's not that I'm a huge fan of Valentina, but I really enjoy seeing this girl modeling for some reason... I don't know why... There's just something about her that's pleasing me...

I like your relaxed approach towards the matter and the fact that Valentina has gone as far as she has in the industry and managed to keep her personal life relatively private... She may have been just lucky, though, but, whatever... that's the thing to look up to her for...

She may have married her husband for different reasons other than love and when she became a famous model she decided to take advantage of her position. People in showbiz do it all the time...they are away from their significant other for long periods of time and feel attracted to other people. Hollywood actors/actresses aren't that different from models with relationships.
 
Good points. I guess I'm just relating to her image and what I've read about her... Although, knowing some people at Polo I CAN see Ralph having a fit over some things when he has her face 15 feet high in every store in the country...Very image concious, Ralph... Being the face of Ralph Lauren is a big weight to carry for a young girl...

The pics were on here back when and on other threads...I did see the atricle on Vanity fair's web site; I'm sure you can find it on Google if it's not there. And of course, there's always E Bay! (My scanners broken or I'd be happy to post it...:(

Ralph Lauren hired Valentina because she's got the right look. Her personal life doesn't factor in it. Kate Moss has a very notorious private life, but it hasn't stopped her from reigning supreme in the fashion biz.

Time to go back and read Michael Gross' book about Ralph Lauren...EVERYTHING factors into his decisions regarding his employees!:blink:
(One of his assistants' job was threatened because he didn't like her boyfriend's looks and way of dressing... Tough customer, Ralph...)

Not saying all of this is right, but that's how he runs his company and always has... Image is everything!:unsure:
