If my sisters had have known the high pitch screams of excitement which would be coming from me on Friday morning when I was driving them to work, I think they would have wished they had bought giant ear plugs or perhaps they would have opted to take the bus, but how on earth when one of my healthy living inspirations, the absolutely beautiful Valentina Zelyaeva who had just replied to my message (and agreed to star on my blog in a Q/A segment) how could I possibly not be jumping up and down and screaming.
Let me introduce you to my first Glowing Guest Valentina Zelyaeva. A world famous Russian fashion model, who has not only graced the pages and covers of dozens of well known fashions magazines, but is best known as the FACE of the extremely beautiful, iconic, classic, brand Ralph Lauren, which she has now been for over a decade. Valentina, is a healthy lifestyle advocate, who believes that true beauty comes from within, she embraces a raw food, plant based diet, has a strong connection and love of nature and couldn’t function without her daily green juices and yoga workouts. Something I admire about Valentina is that even in the world of modeling where stereotypically eating disorders are the norm, she has decided to nourish her body and treat it like a temple while still remaining the face of one of the most beautiful brands of the world. Her glow definitely radiates from the inside out and I feel honoured to be able to share a little of her inspiring thoughts below. Thank you so much Val for taking the time to answer these questions.

What are 5 Healthy Habits you recommend incorporating into our daily lives in order for us to stay healthy, beautiful and get a glow?
1.Do not consume fluoride EVER,
What inspires you to be the best version of yourself?
- Make green juice a daily habit,
- Practice yoga,
- Read something inspirational every day,
- Eat as much fruits and vegetables as you possible can
Nature inspires me. Because Nature is so balanced, beautiful, graceful, powerful, gentle, strong and wise.
Is there a health advocate out there that inspires you to continue on your journey of health, and wellness? (example – Deepak Chopra, David Wolfe, Kimberly Snyder) do they have a book?
All the above! I did read David Wolfe Eating for Beauty and The Sunfood Diet Success System books. I have to say, it was pretty impressive and made a huge impact on me. I do like to read daily motivation words from Deepak Chopra. Oh and I LOVE Glowing Green Smoothie by Kim Snyder! I love YouTube channel by FullyRaw Kristina.
List 5 beautifying (help you to get a glow) foods you keep in your fridge/pantry religiously?
1.Flax seed oil
2.Lemons
3. Cucumber
4. Kale
5.Avocado
What does a typical day look like for you? Do you have a routine?
I like to wake up early around 6-7am. I do meditation or if I’m by the beach I will go for a sun gazing. Then I have water with lemon. Then I make a green juice with celery-cucumber-lemon-apple-kale. For breakfast is usually fruits and green tea. Then I work on my social media. Checking my blog, replying to messages and creating new posts. Lunch I have outside with friends. Afternoon is my yoga class. Then for dinner I like to cook at home for my boyfriend & I.
Do you practice self-love? If so how and why is this so important to you?
Self love is very important, because if you love yourself then you can love everyone around you. LOVE is what keeps the Planet spinning. LOVE is a high vibration state of being. Spread love and love comes back to you
How do you think someone can glow from the inside out?
I believe by consuming a raw, plant based diet it will make you glow. Because pure food in its natural wholesome state carries a living energy, and once you eat it, this live energy becomes you. this is the reason I gave up meat, fish and eggs. I only want best food for my body that will raise my vibration, not bring it down.

Favorite Toning Exercise?
I do yoga, and dry brushing every day.
What are your non-negotiables when it comes to your lifestyle (food, diet and exercise etc.)
I always buy organic, I always carry my reusable tote around so I don’t use plastic bags from supermarkets. I think they are so useless and only trash our oceans.
They say ab’s are made in the kitchen, what is your favorite, healthy, nourishing, body friendly recipe you would like to share?
Hahaha That’s funny, but true! My favorite recipe is green smoothie. Very simple to make, fiber will keep you full longer, therefore good for someone who is trying to lose weight. In high speed blender: 2 apples, 1 frozen banana, spinach, kale, celery, juice of 1 lemon, 1 table spoon flax seeds, 1 cup water.
