Valentino Haute Couture S/S 2023 Paris

I wanted to see a different direction from Piccoli, but this collection is extremely vulgar and just unbelievably ugly. The looks are either too plain or too overdone, there's no balance and no coherence between them. I also got a strong Michele's Gucci vibe. I wonder what needs to happen to kill the hype around PPP and this show may be close to achieve exactly that.

Like alllll of his collections as of late it's just a buffet of everything but the kitchen sink.

As usual no comment on the menswear from me because .. yikes lol.

^Very Gucci by Michele, that one show they did in Paris particularly. Total identity crisis collection. I’d fallen totally out of love with his work long before this mess but If anything it’s further confirmation that he’s lost it…the magic touch is totally absent.

In my opinion this is one of the worst haute couture collections I have ever seen. It’s what it would like if Christian Siriano somehow was on the haute couture calendar and showing in Paris. Maybe even worse than that.

If I was Valentino Garavani, I would throw him to the pugs!!

It is exhausting to watch as photos so imagine being in the audience.

It looks like at least 5 different collections in one. Is there truly no one in his team that can say the word : EDIT ?!

And so many looks for so little to say. It just feels so phoned in, he has already done all of this before and better. There is still some objectively beautiful looks but they get lost in a sea of nonsense.
