A sumptuous Fashion-Drama is „The Necklace Affair“, by Director Sandro Suppnig, starring Oscar nominated, Sundance-awarded Oliver Hirschbiegel (The Downfall, Five Minutes of Heaven), fiercely beautiful Supermodel Vanessa Hegelmaier and top model Ferdi Sibbel.
The mini-film, takes his ambiguous title from the infamous „L’affaire du collier“, that was Marie Antoinette’s first step towards the Guillotine and one of the biggest scandals in French history. It is a twisted ménage a trois, a tale of a pretty bird in a golden cage that flies out to seek love. Visually the piece draws strong inspirations from Jean Cocteau’s style and reminds in its attention to detail, its rich colors and its elaborate settings of the grand classics of Italian Cinema.
Shot in- and around a 750 year old moated castle in Austria, the film features garments of the current collections of luxury brands such as Missoni, Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Bottega Veneta, Chloé, Maison Martin Margiela etc. and was produced as a special project with participation of Jewelry Brand Linn Lomo.
