Vera Wang S/S 2008 : Anabela Belikova and Bruna Tenório by Willy Vanderperre

^Thank you very much! That would explain the difference in photography...

^ Indeed it does!

Here is the eyewear ad with Bruna, scanned by me from Vogue (US) Feb 2008. For now I'm assuming (with the help of Faith ) that it's Vanderperre, until proven otherwise :flower:

I am so not a fan of these! And I am starting to really dislike Anabela. She is blah, her posture is terrible and she doesn't look look mature enough to pull off these shots.

Hmm, the shot with the silver column dress is better, but still the slumpy posture is killing me.

That shot would've worked so much better if she was arched backwards instead of slumped over that way.

On another note, she should go back to Roversi. Vera Wang + Paolo Roversi = Perfection.

hmm, looking a little calvin klein-ish for my personal taste. or maybe jil sander, but i think willy vanderperre shoots the jil sander campaign which explains it.

so pretty ^_^
...still, I think I would have liked this more if Roversi shot it in the style of the older Vera ads with Hanne and Eva- Helene... :crush:

Nothing extraordinary, but Anabela looks very ethereal and beautiful. ^_^

Anabela kdhfkdja - that is my reaction. She smoked these. She's growing as a model in leaps and bounds. I adore her for Vera Wang.

I love the plain background. Somehow it really 'works' with the clothes. And I *love*love*love* the first shot. Her hair is absolutely perfect for this!

I'm quite suprised Vera Wang used Willy Vanderperre. He is so 'European' I don't associate him with American fashion.

I actually kinda like them, espeically the one with the silver dress. There's something so endearing about Anabela that make these work.

my fave is the one with the blue dress.

my fave is the one with the blue dress.

LOL, that's my least favorite.
1. That dress looks like something my grandma could design.
2. Anabela looks like she's picking her nose.

:innocent:

Bruna Tenorio's complete eyewear campaign is now up on lebook.com :flower:

Vera and her lack of individual vision annoy me.. but for once, I am actually loving the styling of this, and of course.. the fact that Vanderperre shot it, he really seems to have born for clothes, he just knows how to get around them and highlight the best of them in his photographs.. great skilled man.. the results are almost predictably top-notch the entire time and this is no exception. and I'm sure Vera knows that.. at least I appreciate her efforts and the selection of artists she's relying on and surrounding herself with.

I absolutely love these! I don't see what's wrong with beauty and simplicity!
