So I'm confused, is her name VerAnika or VerOnika?

Hah I think I have an explanation for this one, thanks to my newly acquired Russian skills! See, in Russian, o is always pronounced as "a", unless it is accented (ó or, if the emphasis is meant to be put on that letter when you say the word... usually the accent isn't used that often when written -from what I understood- but Russian speakers know where it is... that's slightly confusing hehe)... therefore, her name is spelled Veronika, but pronounced Veranika. So for us occidentals, when we see it written, it's Veronika, but for Russians, it's Veranika...

And of course, this only possibly applies if she is from a Slavic country / descendance.

Either that, or it was just a spelling mistake...
