Veronique Branquinho F/W 13.14 Paris

Ah, the wood bracelets replace last season's gold arm cuffs. I don't find this that exciting, but it's definitely another lovely (and well styled) collection from her. Probably the most interesting thing about this to me is the way she uses color; she's always good at choosing seemingly odd color combinations, that end up contrasting one another beautifully, and thereby lend the collection an added air of chicness.

First thoughts that come to mind: Tune In Tokyo, and Yee-haw..

does anybody know what she was inspired by this season? i would expect given branquinho's taste,it would have a badlands influence but i could be wrong.

aside from the concept, the clothes look as beautiful as always. love the colours she used...love the way she reinterpreted western stitching by using grommets. i don't care what anybody says but branquinho really knows a good cut...the trousers are simply sublime. and i love the way she works with fabric. i honestly think the way she cuts she can make even the most grotesque fabric look like superb quality.

Love bright yellow. I love how simple, but so amazing it is !

apparently VB had man ray muse nancy cunard on her mind a bit while designing. which explains the wooden bangles. she says there wasn't a theme only that she was thinking about sophistication this season. which in VB's world could be interpreted in a multitude of understated ways.

For the the plaid-loving, leopard-print coveting cowgirl...
I enjoyed the pop of color. I want to hate the green used but I can't, it works so well for those three looks.

Eh, there's nothing really interesting here, not to mention it's a bit all over the place.
