What do you all think about the bag in the Madonna ad for Versace.

Do you think that it will be in demand?

The SA at Versace on 5th Avenue said that only 65 were released in the US.
They are already sold out.

Do you think that Madonna;s association with the brand and bag will make the bag more desirable?

Maybe. But then again, even if the stars endorse such products it all comes down to what the bag looks like and quality as well.

I don't like it either. But I never expect anything 'wow' from Versace these days so needless to say I'm not surprised it's so bad imo.

It seems as though the reaction is considerably negative so why are all 25 coming into the NYC Versace already sold and no names are being taken.

Is it the fact that they are so limited only 65 in the US that makes people
want it?

Will we regret no being one of those lucky few when the word gets out that it is the hottest thing to own?

the fact that it's in the Madonna ad probably explains its apparent popularity. when I was in Neimans the other day the SAs were marvelling at how a bag can sit on the shelf for months then it will appear in a magazine in the hand of a celebrity and suddenly they're getting hundreds of calls a day for it. I don't get it. I couldn't care less if there were only one in the whole wide world -- for me personally, scarcity doesn't magically transform an ugly bag into a hot bag.

Depends on whether you actually like the bag or not.

Agree 100%. The bag is terribly ugly imo at the end of the day, I don't care if it's suddenly a 'must-have'.

It's the Snap Out Of It Bag, that's what Donnatella calls the boston bag shape.

It's a very nice bag, I like the colors and the braided handles and all of it. Though I know that's a bag my mother would carry.

i have a question, i saw the new madonna ad for versace, and i couldnt help but notice the white and gold tote that was in the ad with madonna. i think its so hot!! i want to know what you all think about the bag, if you think its worth the price to buy, etc. please be honest! thanks so much!!

hi pradaromance12! why wouldnt u buy it? u think its not worth it? or maybe bc versace doesnt make quality bags? i have other things versace, but never their handbag, so i am curious. thanks!
