Fashion editorials from this era only had info about photographer, hairdresser and makeup. Only exceptional editorials had reference to styling, as happened with a few Bruce Weber spreads.
For each issue the masthead section gave information about contributors. Established stylist names such as Brana Wolf, Paul Cavaco, Tonne Goodman, Marc Ascoli, Tina Bossidy, Joe McKenna and Carine Roitfeld, appeared regularly.
Franca Sozzani left LEI and PER LUI by the time she took over VOGUE ITALIA, around mid-end 1988. I think the one below from March 1989 (Claudia Schiffer by Steven Meisel, I presume) must be the last one with some interest. Actually I had this issue but sold it.
So Franca Sozzani was the editor of LEI @ some pt? No wonder I've always loved these mags... the covers are so simplistic and fresh... and for the most pt, all of the cover girls were interesting, the set template that so many publications employ these days was not present yet..
