Interesting material play was at the core of Goga Ashkenazi’s strong resort lineup for Vionnet. While the designer looked to the house’s heritage for silhouettes — the Grecian-inspired, the handkerchief dresses — she made a statement with graphic textures and motifs, especially the dragonfly wing that she cited as a visual inspiration.

The veiny pattern was featured as a print on an elegant technical organza gown and raincoat that veered futuristic, and, more subtly, as a macramé lace bonded to netting for a reversible dress that was cut like a spiral. While the latter might sound overly intricate, it was executed with commercial appeal.

Vionnet’s new accessories were also noteworthy, including the Mosaic bag that was splattered with paint Jackson Pollock-style and the sandal sneakers that subtly resembled gladiator boots.

so far very lovely...feels very artisanal in the vein of gustavo lins whom i adore.

love them, but pairing slippers with dresses is just silly

Much. MUCH better.

Last time I was like "What is this f*ck*r*?"

And now ... its a compromise. Im super glad
