Vivienne Westwood S/S 2016 by Juergen Teller

If this was Jenna Jameson or Pamela Anderson (whose charity efforts are far more commendable than this random-looking guy), the rebuff would've been much more fiercer. In fact, I remember the mock and sneer Vivienne got for giving her campaigns to 'Canada's Maple Leaf'. But because this Colby is a man, 'good-looking and recognizable', and associated with art, that's enough to justify his presence here?

I understand why Vivienne chose him, just don't understand the hypocrisy here.

I don't think it has anything to do with the fact that he is a man. I think the times are just different. I don't think people hated Pamela in her campaigns either. However, when she was put in them we were still living in different times. It was unexpected.

At the end of the day, let's not forget that Tony Ward used to be a p*rn star too. If you do the job well I don't think it matters if you are a man or a woman. Especially, in the modelling business dominated by women! And let's remember Kim one more time! It didn't ruin her career, whatever it is, it made it.

P.S. however, I do agree that women in general are subjected to a much harsher criticism and judgement when it comes to making unconventional choices and I find it incredibly unfair.

Well, i didn't hate pamela then and i don't hate colby involvement now.

On one hand, p*rn stars are branching out in more mainstream media - think sasha grey or, unfortunately, people like james deen - and on the other i don't think the general public is too aware of who colby is in order for this to gain the same amount of attention that someone like pamela anderson did.

Plus one of VW's most iconic pieces is the cowboys t-shirt, and I find colby's presence here ironically fitting, especially the shot with the red boots.

OK, I'm a dude and I had to google Colby. Here I was thinking he's some athlete, um, nope! I'm pretty immune to Vivienne & Juergen's partnerships, but there are some wonderful photos here. Having said that, these shots would be ideal for a book, not a campaign.

Plus I don't think anyone should put p*rn stars on a pedestal.

And why is that? Every one deserves a chance at something, right? As far as this campaign goes, they're all models here. No classification.

If you took a little time to check out Colby beyond his p*rnstar status, you might find yourself liking him a little. He’s an interesting individual whom I find to be charming, witty, goofy, laid-back, is interested in art, sexy and very similar to the guys I'm attracted to-- and just also happens to do p*rn. I have nothing against Pamela, but she’s a plastic-enhanced woman that aside from her charity work— which is admirable, but also very fashionable amongst any given celebrity/ socialite, has absolutely nothing interesting to say to me.

There’s no hypocrisy.

(BTW, I think the campaign would have been so much stronger had it been just Viv and Colby.)

Who cares if he's a tart? He's our tart!

Viva la Colby! Bless Juergen and Viv.

Yay for Colby! I honestly don't care he's a p*rnstar. He is a very good looking guy, in my opinion better looking than most male models, and is great in this campaign.

Why exactly? I've always wondered why people talk so badly about p*rnstars. Especially when 99,9% of the world population watches/has watched p*rn. If people chose this as a career, why should that be wrong.

I hate that people are tagging Colby as a p*rn star but don't really know the fact that he's also an artist. This campaign is gold btw.
