Vogue China July 2011 : Fan Bing Bing by Josh Olins

^ Don't you think it's too much? It's not fair to estimate magazine because of one, not so strong issue.

YEP neither for me! I'm so mad, it's a really lackluster issue! Bad cover and so weakk editorials! The "Beauty:Scarf Statement" is so common and repetitive, then the "Beauty: Skin Clear" editorial is so small, amateur and boring. The "Wild at Heart by Josh Olins" editorial is absolutely uninspiring: this kind of story has been used and used and re-used way too many times: same hairstyle and attitude in previous Vogue China issues and...

WTF is Julia Restoin-Roitfeld doing in a Vogue editorial?!!! OMG I'm so not get it: she isn't a model or top model material! So is it now: how EASY it is, to be in a Vogue fashion story?!!! Just being the kid of an influential fashion editor?! She doesn't even do anything amazing in that story!!!:angry::angry:

Pff the "Paris Dreaming" editorial is soooo reminiscent to a previous Kendra Spears editorial: not cool this time! And eventually the "From Tokyo to New York City" is so Harper Bazaar's esque!

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO VOGUE CHINA??? It used to be AMAZING!!! Where is the magic? Where's the beauty? How did they go from GREAT covers to that??? And why did they work so badly in every single editorial??? OMG! The crisis really is still happening uh?!

Maybe I can explain why Julia Restoin-Roitfeld in this issue so does the Rinko Kikuchi. The main theme of this issue is about the youth weave. A new genernation. So the trend part use the Random girls and the demin shoot on the MIDI Music Festival hold on Beijing on May.This issue also have some interview of the youth girls including Alexa Cheung.

I should admit this is a lace issue. But the eds are round one theme. Compare the other July Issue or June Issue. VC still the strong one.

I really like Bing Bing's ed. She looks stunning. I love the masculine look on her. Aymeline looks stunning, too.

Nothing happened to Vogue China. Every magazine has it's ups and downs, look at Vogue Italia and Vogue US. This issue may not be as strong as past issues, but that doesn't mean they lost their magic.

aymeline's is by far the best! i love the celine shirt on the cover

Wow, Aymeline and Camilla Akrans.. what a good combination! The whole issue seems to be exciting, thank you for your snaps, ammon.

How I wish those weibo sites would stop tagging on the cover photos.

Aymeline's editorial is so beautiful  I'm not a fan of Akrans work, in particular what she does for Harpers Bazaar, but I love the different direction she took with the Paris Dreaming editorial. The purples and oranges go so well together and Aymeline is the perfect combination of a strong face with a soft theme.

Aymeline's editorial is so lovely, and I like how Camilla didn't go over the top in it either. Thanks for scanning. :flower:

Perfect ed! Stunning. Although it's very safe for Camilla, the one she did with Aline weber few months back is exactly the same concept. But I love it so much I don't really mind...^_^
