Vogue China June 2008 : Shu Qi by Lachlan Bailey

I admit I don't know who Shu is, but that cover is gorgeous. And Du's ed makes me laugh, in a good way. I love what I've seen so far.

Thanks for all the scans!:flower: Shu Qi's ed is pretty good, so is Du Juan's one. So nice to see such an ed in Vogue China.

i like both cover on previous page....
and must say i love Marie Chaix' editorial with Du.....
Don't know why but when i clicked onto the thumbails and saw this asian girl wearing kind of crazy look (for Vogue).... I thought about Susie Bubble (yes the tfs-er-blooger) getting bored in a family anniversary....I could totaly imagine her getting dressed like this.... This came to my mind espcially when I saw the MiuMiu look with the silver clown-esque hat....
I really like it....

hadn't check the rest for the moment

I fancy the cover and I find the editorial to be very appealing. The colours are warming and vibrant with an oriental flavor across all the shots. I love it! Emma Pei is quite a beauty too.

ahh, thanks for all your scans aja mok! :buzz:
such a wonderful issue.. I love how they're hiring stylists and photographers that can be quite unimpressing in most publications but you can tell that whoever's at the top here is truly pushing them to their limit, if not further. I love Pei's editorial.. the fact that the theme has been overplayed in the past couple of years but it looks like so much fun here and seriously in tune with its own background and even finding room for it to have a play in the story too and not be merely a visual complement.
Also loved Ottenberg's editorial.. that model fits perfectly all the Demeulemeester clothes, wonder why I hadn't heard of her before (:ninja:), she just seems to embody that aesthetic so well.

I like Du Juan's ed. it doesn't have big drama and crazy setting, but the atmosphere and lighting there correlate with the theme very well. :flower:'

Vogue China is definitely getting better and better,, it's on my top 3 favourite Vogue list now.

I love Shu's,Emma's and Du's eds.Gorgeous issue
