Vogue China May 2008 : Zhou Xun by David Sims

A little lackluster  and makes me feel depressed, all those dark gloomy scenes. dull styling too.

Thanks for Meghan's ed. I'm not feeling too much about it.
About the new models, I just meant that Vogue China finally made a big change for their casting, no Du Juan or other regular faces, that's really surprising. Sorry for puzzling you guys.:p

^hehe.

I love how Vogue China is becoming such a powerful publication in terms of new artists' exposure and ideas in such little time.. not to mention how they've found a neutral ground of exploring western fashion under a very asian vision, they haven't lost their identity in order to sell or cope with western publications yet they manage to do their own thing and be an outstanding player in 'global' fields.. pretty impressing ..

Corinne's ed is just gorgeous.. it's very summery but you don't get the feeling that you've seen it before or even experienced a day like that at the beach.. it's quite gloomy and the styling, despite the lightness, feels just as melancholic somehow.. so nice to see a beach ed with clothes that aren't white or full of prints.. I think this could be a well incentive for people that have dark urban style in the city and worry about trading it for florals or looking out of place the moment they drop by the beach. (me) :innocent:

Meghan's seaside looks great

i think liu wen's ed is so good...it seems vogue china becomes better and better since they changed some staffs...

Did you see the correct pics?! They chose like the most strongly oriental style pieces from the collections! And of course Liu Wen was instructed to show restraint in her face to match the theme.

btw i just noticed so many vogue paris girls had worked for vogue china..carine(premiere issue and 05 nov)..emmanuelle(07 apr..i was shocked when i saw her name in the contributer page:shock:her position is fashion director, right?i thought she was just exclusive for vogue paris)..marie-amiele(this issue..)...let alone julia von boehm and ludivine(but she is freelance now?)..

plus..siri'e ed is super amazing!!!!..it was shot in beijing... privite clubs and some hotels.. and julia used some rodarte in the ed..so beautiful:crush:...!!!!

vogue china is getting better and better..i mean the editorial part..and i'm ok with the new layout..hope they can just keep it on...:magic:
