what I particularly like about those covers is they did not try to "hide" her face which often happened to top female starts when they are reaching middle 40s before it will be over retouch now the new trend is to do some sort of styling gimmicks or even blurring the whole image to hide the fact they over-ps the face I am sure there is still retouch involved, but at least you can recognize her & her age. the texture in the shoot with golden makeups is just nice to look at.

First time all the covers actually look good, but I like the newsstand and gold one more. It's great to see that Vogue China is still giving covers to Zhou Xun and Li Bingbing etc ad not see them cast aside in favour of the 'hottest new sensation'. They were like Gwyneth/Renee/Nicole of US Vogue, who were of a specific moment and got loads of covers at the time.
