Vogue France August 2023 : Ajok Daing by Larissa Hofmann

^^^ Hilarious how some have to preface by saying she’s “beautiful”— before tearing into what a weak shoot it is LOL …Frankly, she’s dime-a-dozen InstaModel: a pretty woman.

your comment made me laugh out loud so much.
So she can't be a beautiful woman, only a pretty woman.
And everybody has to agree on that....
You are a funny guy!

With this editorial we can see that Euginie has no vision.
Francesca from Italia and Ines from Spain are doing a better jobs

My thoughts exactly.

I feel with Vogue Italia & Vogue Spain, there is still an effort to gel together (or curate) the whatever shared editorials they have that month with their original editorial into a somewhat cohesive magazine.

with Vogue France, I feel that Eugenie is just throwing the random shared editorials together with a random cover story and call it a day. It feels very “jumpy” if you get what i mean. Sometimes the magazine even feels like Vogue Uk with french texts. At least Vogue Italia and Vogue Spain still retains a little bit of their “character”.

Bizarre/unflattering photos but the cover would have been fine if they didn’t rotate the image! Swimwear cannot be that hard to photograph well!

It’s all very “graphic design is my passion” lol

I saw the issue the best is the trends editorial section....the coverstory is so bad...

Funny that they even reprint an old Gisele editorial for the beauty section...

At this point they might as well combine France, Italy, and UK and call it Vogue Europe. It’s a waste of money to purchase all three.

Hmmm, but wouldn't that take away all the fun? I actually think they should introduce new Vogues, like Vogue Liechtenstein, Vogue San Marino, Vatican Vogue, Danish Vogue, Irish Vogue, and Iceland Vogue. They could appoint many Millennials as EICs, and that could lead to some truly glorious fun for us.

We'd probably end up with covers like this one all the time, making us feel grumpy, preachy, and generally depressed about the sad state of magazines.

That's what Elle, Grazia and L'Officiel are for

I saw this sat on the shelves in WHSmith last week and I still, after all these months, feel extremely saddened to see the level in which this magazine has sunk. A crying shame to see the magazine I once lived for, and dashed out to purchase each and every month has become. To think I do not buy French Vogue STILL baffles my mind.
