Vogue Hellas April 2011 : Candice Swanepoel by Steven Meisel

Is this a reprint from the VI shoot?

Anyways, get it Candice. Better she than Freja, Anja, Lara, etc.

This and Vogue Portugal needs to be shut down asap

I have to disagree. I've always been a believer that reprints can be a foundation of a good magazine. I know I would like the challenge of gathering 5 or 6 editorials and reprinting them into another magazine. Take Vogue Hellas' March issue with Daria on the cover. I was delighted to see that shot going to good use - even Vogue Paris never stepped up to the mark and make decent use of it. Part of loathing these reprinted covers, is font and text placement.

It would've been quite decent (imo) if it weren't for the Superwoman text. It's liked they used WordArt or something...

Hey, at least Vogue Taiwan does original covers and content. That to me is a lot better than mindlessly reprinting from other magazines every month.

I don't understand the repeated ire from users about Vogue Hellas' reprints. Many magazines around the world use them (dozens and dozens of editions of Marie Claire, Elle and Harper's Bazaar, for example) and in a lot of cases they're celebrity reprints. Shouldn't the consistent model covers of this magazine please the star-weary here at TFS? And unlike Vogue Portugal and Vogue Taiwan with their original yet sinfully ugly covers, I think Hellas has a knack for fun, colourful choices. Although this probably isn't the shot I would have picked from Meisel's editorial I think it still makes an appealing cover.

It's a nice cover (I like the reprint choice too), but the "Superwoman" text looks pretty horrendous.

The effect on the "Superwoman" text makes me laugh so hard.:lol::D It's just awful.

You guys stop making fun of that Superwoman (thanks Bank) title. I bet whoever came up with that was so proud of his/her skill and creativity. :brows:

it's just a poor reprint and I didn't like this editorial in Vogue Italia in the first place

love the shot, hate the text. what is that superwoman word wrap effect about though? really? looks horrible.

^Same thought. Hate the cover, but so happy for her. She's a goddess!
