Absolutely love the Meisel editorial. Totally the golden age.

What I love about the models then, aside from all being totally gorgeous, is that they all had such great chemistry...they all looked so good together.

These days, when everything has to be multi-girl to make sure every demographic is accounted for, there's a shocking lack of dynamism or even visual congruency with any of the models working today. They never fit together and they never play off each other...they're all just there.
 
Stella McCartney's spring 2022 campaign appears to be "inspired" by this
 
^ I cringe so much when I see the issues I remember ripping editorials out of (lol especially Pop magazine). I want to go back to the past and tell myself "keep them intact, you could sell those on eBay you dumb b*tch!!"
