I actually wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do, but I'm going to echo that everyone wouldn't be complaining about it if it was Freja, Sasha or any of the other favorites. I think Candice looks good here and can't wait to see the editorial.

^^ haha, no... no no no no. i think that while a few people here may be biased towards certain favorite models, the rest, or i daresay a majority of the TFSers reactions to magazine covers are spot on, and free of any malicious intent.

i've read quite a handful of Vogue Italia threads and even Sasha's September 09 cover received a lot of flak eventhough it was pretty strong IMO. Gemma's May 09 cover had a lot of critics as well. oh, i can go on and on and on. i agree with most people here though, i have nothing against candice and i love the fact that meisel is working with VS girls but this is just poorly styled and is pretty unremarkable.

Everyone talks about the bad, trashy stiling but that's the main point of the cover imo, I got it like this... I don't know...

For some reason, I like this one. Although I can't seem to see the VI aesthetic on Candice but still, she has managed to look gorgeous and sexy (That's pretty obvious) on the cover. There's definitely a 90s vibe in it.

great for candice, I think she looks good. I agree that somehow there's something unfinished on it, but I think it looks fresh and old-school at same time. it's candice and she's got that "tacky 80's european look" (which isn't that bad since she's pretty) and carlyne's styling reflects on it. perhaps a close up à la avedon could have worked better.

i guess Karolina wasn't available for this but i like it.they choose from a Blumarine bin, tackiness is to be expected. i just the hope the eds aren't too few.

Definitely looks like old-school Meisel. Still, it doesn't feel very Carlyne Cerf to me, sans the jewelry. Something feels off or possibly unfinished...

I think that it is missing that one blockbuster element, especially one that would firmly place the cover in SS 2011. To me that cuts both ways, because this could be a cover from five years ago or five years from now; one thing that I did not like about the Mariacarla cover was the pants because that took the classic element away from the image, but at the same time there were people who liked the cover for that same reason.

I think the cover is ok. If I was walking past the newsstand and saw it, the bold colors would catch my eye. As far as Candice, yeah she's VS but she can look just as good as any editorial model. I was hoping they'd do something more like this look:
