Vogue Italia January 2011 : Freja Beha Erichsen & Arizona Muse by Steven Meisel

really interesting cover. But VI is always special - uncomparable with the others magazines. Like Meisel´s contribution for this fashion magazine

I truly adore this!
Cannot wait to see the main ed and the other content

Fantastic cover, remidns me of that one cover with Evangelista, but that one had more people in it, even Polly was there!

That was the first one I thought of as well. Though of course the color scheme is entirely different there. But as you said, a lot more people involved in that image...

Beautiful. I love when Meisel goes into that whole 20s/30s high-society thing (he does it more often for US Vogue). I think that the Freja girl could be Caroline Brasch Nielsen? Just a thought :).

That's who I first thought it was, but most people are convinced it's Freja so I'm not really sure.

I think it's definitely Freja's arms & nose. Beautiful cover, so classy, so chic, Meisel can do no wrong.

Absolutely wonderful! Makes me very curious about the main ed.

I have a feeling that the main ed will be a long story.

Definitely Freja.:woot::heart: I'll go with saying the other model is Arizona. Stunning cover.

Atelier inspiration. A parade of the colors of elegance, where perfection makes the difference. Like the even-toned complexion created by Vitalumière Aqua SPF 15, a second-skin foundation which generates radiance. Deep eyes, a main feature, are enhanced by dark yet iridescent tones like those of the Ombres Perlées limited-edition kit, five eye shadow shades with an advanced texture.

The lips are obviously haute couture, dressed in bold, jewel shades of Rouge Allure lipstick with shea butter for softer, smoother application. Hands accessorized with Le Vernis, Dragon. All by Chanel. Organza or silk tulle embroidered dress with bracelets: Chanel. Hat: Ellen Christine. Earrings: Erickson Beamon. Necklace and rings: Lynn Ban. Shoes: Tom Ford. Hairstyles: Guido for Redken. Make-up: Pat McGrath. Manicure: Jin Soon Choi for Jin Soon Natural Hand & Foot Spa. Fashion editor: Karl Templer. Set design by Mary Howard.

It is somewhat frustrating and annoying that VI does not include model credits in these types of write ups.

^ oh yeah. You can say that again and again and again

Backstage and off duty photos of them together may have hinted a cover

The cover looks like a vintage Chanel ad from the 80s.
Such a grogeous cover, and a great way to start the year for VI.
