Vogue Italia July 2005 : Linda Evangelista by Steven Meisel

Its so strange and something about the whole idea behind it bothers me...and yet its an incredibly beautiful editorial.

I agree!

I've never bought VOGUE ITALIA, but this one is a MUST! So vulgar, yet intrigueing...

Picked it up yesterday on 23rd at Universal News.

Love the spread! Love Meisel!

thanks! that's my FAVE newstand. picked up the issue this morning.

twisted genius.

mimicking hollywood twice in a row.. I wonder what Meisel will do next

I've only seen as much as has been shown on this thread, but this is so...I'm speechless! I think this is one of the most original, groundbreaking, and creative editorials in a long time!

I love it, it's right on the button: completely innovative, yet so in tune with the times that you wonder where it's been all this while..

oh, I just MUST buy it. I love kind old time eds.. I hope I'll find it soon, lol. Thanks!Anyone knows what's inside  ?

Haha, love the pix. Especially Eugenia's profile shot, Inguna's before+after and of course Hana. It's like their 'surgery' pix are Newtonesque and the after shots are gloriously Scavulloesque. Cool thinking and incredibly well done. Another Meisel gem, there.

The images are very provocative so I suppose they serve to their purpose. Anyhow nothing I would call beautiful but definitely interesting. Linda is a goddess though!

I absolutely love this editorial. Very much on the pulse of what's going on in popular culture (my boss told me today that she's going to have some work done).

The concept of the edit is awesome and very well executed, as the the clothes are still very much the focus of the editorial.

Now if I could only read Italian.

LOve the voguevanity.it web site thanks love Linda and Steven together again hopefully they will do the Vogue Italia haute coutre edition in october.

 They're just digitally altered right? Please say yes. I don't like the idea of all these models *actually* getting surgery.
