Vogue Japan July 2022 : Hikaru Utada by Shoji Uchida

Indeed feels like a throwback to the good old days with the white backdrop but there's just something about this that I severely dislike. Perhaps it's Hikaru Utada's vacant expression or the placement of the cover photograph and the missing 'O' from the masthead. It feels... half-baked.

That was the old Vogue Japan was it not?

All I can see are the white lines of the sherpa fleece backing, looking like lines of dried glue. They could have edited the lines a little more so they're not as abrupt, or have the backing match the rest of the garment.
