Very weak edition tbh...there is no amazing cover even with the amazing models they had.

I don't think it's a weak edition, I just think they need time to grow into a specific style.

I think it's pretty strong Vogue edition. With one of the most wanted models on their covers.

But the Saskia & Doutzen covers are dissapointing (imo).

Number 1-4-7 are my favs. Specially the one with Rianne!

They managed okay with their summer issues, the September one is still decent, but things go back to stale till December. The December one is actually quite good when it comes to art direction.. which is probably the weakest aspect of the magazine right now, their debut issue, October and November are very reminiscent of late 90s Bazaar, like they're familiar with computers but not quite near those years where crispness and harmony in textures/palette/size matters. Hopefully December marks the beginning of something.. it does look more mature.

2012 was a mess while 2013 seemed like an experimental stage. 2013 had covers wherein it seemed like they were trying out new things while some covers were their same old covers.

2014 saw the improvement of VOGUE NL, tbqh. This particular year, for me, seems like they're slowly finding their direction. The layout got cleaner and the images got stronger. What bothers me though are 2 things:
1. The September 2014 - December 2014 has the same text positioning. It's like they copy pasted the layout and changed the text for each and every month
2. October - December 2014 looks like they're from the same month despite being shot by 3 different photographers.

I think it's pretty good actually. I really loved the Body&Beach issue cover.

Good grief, is that Sylvie Meis?? Hahaha, what on earth went through their heads. Anyway, it was a good year for them. My favourite looks are Karlie, Malgosia, Doutzen and Ymre. The worst has got to be Cato and Crista.
