I really expected Vogue Netherlands to be some kind of Vogue Paris for adults. The most sexy & controversial Vogue edition in the world.
And that International top models & photographers would loved to work for this Vogue edition.
But this Vogue edition (completly) proved me wrong in all aspects.

I initially thought it would probably mimic Vogue Germany, but this is really bad. To think they actually shoot their own covers. A sea of experienced and high-profile models, designers and history to their disposal and they turn out a mediocre offering every month? I cannot bear to look at Doutzen's Sept 13 cover, the second hand embarrassment is too much. The pose is OTT. It's time to start shooting international girls now.

The biggest problem I see here on ALL their covers is the layouts, it looks so freaking amateur-ish, they should really hire someone new come on. It does not make them look professional.

This edition's covers are getting worse, in terms of their design. And while it's good to promote the people of your country, they have a pattern of putting Doutzen and/or Lara on the front twice a year, nearly every year. It's becoming as predictable as UK Vogue was with Kate Moss.

Yeah but Vogue Brasil & Vogue UK are worse with lack of diversity

- Doutzen is getting 1 every single year and not 2
- Lara gets 1 every 2 years by International photographers

I don't understand what diversity has to do with it. As it is, Dutch Vogue are probably the least diverse of all three when it comes to their content.

Is that truly Sylvie Meis on that cover? Crikey.

Julia Bergshoeff had the best covers this year, they should shoot more often with Annemarieke Van Drimmelen. Romee Strijd and Hana Jirikova comes close, but the rest are all tragic. Not even Rianne can elevate that cover. The worst for me is Dafne, Vera and Lara. Also, Bette got two covers, both shot by Marc De Groot.....yikes!
