Vogue Poland October 2019 : Marte Mei van Haaster by Katja Rahlwes

The face makeup just ruins this for me.

Eyesore. In every sense of the word.

Is it the art issue again or something? I really don't understand it... it's so ugly. And that face paint is so badly done oh my god wow Can't believe this is a Vogue title...

Isn't every issue of theirs 'the art issue'? Oh wait, last month was 'the September issue'....bandied loudly on the cover.

I'm really quite indifferent towards this cover. The backdrop and artwork I like, but not the cropping of the actual image nor the styling.

There is an editorial with Stella Lucia inside this magazine, and by the photos I have seen on Instagram I‘m so in love with it! I mean, of course I am, it‘s Stella, but this one is just so good!

The way the gold makeup was put on her face it's so lazy and sloppy and primary school looking, don't like it at all

My first impression is: oh my god, it's Stella Tennant! But it's not her :(
The entire issue is dedicated to the dead Polish rock star, the great feminist Kora. The main editorial is a paraphrase of Kora's photo shoot from the eighties. That's the story of this hideous cover.
I can't believe it's true.
In general, Vogue Polska is very ambitious, consistent and brave ... But where is the fashion?

Does anyone have the editorials in a good quality?

kathja rahlwes really? since the old purple/zham issues that I didnt see her ugly photography. I see she hasnt improved at all.

Very weak issue. Shame since their September issue was so strong. Rather disturbing that there’s a complete lack of the usual bluechip HF advertisers, again…

The coverstory is utterly forgettable and that sort of raw camera file with the yellow-tinge— before color-correction, permeates throughout this issue. The only story that works is “Stella” by Sonia Szostak. And it only works mainly due to the color-palette of the wardrobe in woodsy tones, which compliments the yellow-tinge and vaguely resembles pre-show polaroids of past runway shows.

That’s really the only decent fashion you’ll get in this issue. The spartan, utilitarian art direction is nice though. Too bad the imagery looks so dead.
