I can agree with you to to some extent. The same discussion came up when the new Self was unveiled. As a health and beauty magazine, it now boast with a substantial fashion component. I think there were people who didn't welcome the 'fashionization' of that title. Now, it makes sense for a magazine to sort of serve as some 'all-in-one' inclusive lifestyle platform, especially nowadays when people are continually pressed for time. And especially for smaller countries, since they would most likely struggle with niche titles. So I get that part.
And yet on he other side I feel VPortugal needs to be a bit more discerning with the type of features they select for print. Sure fashion doesn't pair well with a lot of subjects (for instance feminism), but the examples EstefaniaAbaddon is giving doesn't belong there, does it? Leave that for Cosmo, or even People! For any Vogue title, it becomes a problem when the emphasis is more on features which doesn't even relate to fashion, and less about actual fashion. It's just proof that they're navigating away from the core of the title.
