Vogue Portugal November 2019: "Twin Souls"

Where's the soul in this? All the images lack energy, even in the sense of calmness.

What's the problem with looking at the camera?

I don't care for the first cover but the second and third are great. It reminds me of Magritte.

This looks like promo for a film where two people get emotionally entwined and start isolating themselves away from the world, followed by the inevitable death of one of them in order for the other to be free.

Although Vogue Portugal produces odd and sometimes borderline pretentious covers...

I can't stop smiling whenever I see how far they've come

You're LEGIT if you remember the days where we'll only get a screenshot of the cover from their website in that odd angle. 100% reprint with a terrible Bodoni text overload.

From then to now, I'd give it a pass.

It's really beyond me why they always have multiple covers and none is ever great.

I understand that they have no budget for these productions and sometimes the editorials end up as covers but come ON. I wish they'd move on from this indie/artsy vibe - it's really getting annoying now.

I absolutely love the covers. I feel like at least they have a vision and they execute it nicely. First cover is my favorite, the green Givenchy suit looks stunning.

Vogue Portugal indeed has the nerve to produce the weirdest covers ever.

I like them all... maybe the first one is my least favourite, the fourth one is probably the most Vogue appropriate at a stretch but the 2nd and 3rd shots are super cool... I'd rather have these than some glorified version of ELLE because to be honest, at the moment ELLE seems to be the only magazine that sticks firmly to its concept of offering a view which is easier to digest and then why bother with Vogue at all... Vogues are generally all over the place these days...

Even they tried to achieve VI golden years greatness, i'd prefer any of these covers versus any other Vogue's offering crap...
