Vogue Singapore has finally come out to play and delivered what was expected of them when the edition was announced to return. These covers are a major improvement.

Very old-Hollywood indeed and very Josephine Baker but I do fail to understand the necessity to have three covers when the first is the clear standout! The first cover should've been allowed all the glory, given the fact it's rather gorgeous, with the other two paling in comparison.

While I appreciate the concept and some aspects of the execution, it is too far-fetched, it lacks verisimilitude, it is not quite there yet. Something is off, or missing. Some shots look like a costume catalog, not a fashion editorial. It feels unbelievable because it doesn't believe in itself in the first place.
