Wow this is gorgeous!!

Great cover and editorial, the beauty story I thought it was Freja :)

That cover is superb, so very clean and great styling.

Love the main editorial. The girl looks like Aymeline and Saskia's love child.

The rest looks promising too, although the beauty ed looks a bit too much like something out of Vogue Paris.

Looks like somebody’s been keeping their old issues of Carine and Fabien’s Vogue Paris! And I mean that in a flattering light rather than shade.

It is great to see a team that’s aware— and cares for great composition-- both in photography and layout. It’s not anything new in terms of design aesthetic— just refreshing to see high fashion presented in an elegant manner, rather than all these SM-amateur, juvenile-level layout that’s infested high fashion.

Thanks sore.

They just keep getting better and better after the redesign. I like how they silently go against the commercial grain of Vogue with each cover. And while they follow the same VI, it's not with big name models and photographers, yet the result is more impactful. I'm in love with the cover!

Love the cover and opening editorial.
Sofia Mechetner is gorgeous.
Nice issue!

@Phuel: totally agree with your comments

The cover is gorgeous. I do wish they'd use higher profile models. I have no idea even who this girl is.

^^^ I get that people love love love their top models, but what does it matter if the model is an unknown if she’s really that strong????

I love new faces that aren’t associated with a famous label or photographer. This girl— she’s unreal, surreal and like a Modigliani painting and with the graphic sharpness and ferocity of Furiosa. I’ll take her anyday to a top girl.

I’ll try to get this issue for sure.

Love everything about the cover and edit! The Beauty previews look fantastic, too! Thanks so much for sharing, sore!

Wow. Beautiful, striking cover. And, more impressing, all the eds so far look very good, both the photography and the styling (well I'm a late 80s-early 90s enthusiast). I don't really follow Vogue Ukraine to compare this issue with previous ones, but compared to the other Vogues I've been following, this is definitely more interesting. (Phuel your Modigliani-Furiosa reference was especially spot-on!)

Fair points. I honestly don't know why I prefer seeing familiar models, but I do. Somehow it's easier to connect with them. That's why I dislike VI, because they use random unknowns, and it's hard to care. Maybe someone else can better explain why it is so.

^^^ I totally get it— I think it’s a reference thing: Seeing a top girl— or guy, styled, photographed and even acting out/ pulling off a new look successfully can be so visually exciting, and adds another dimension to their portfolio. Same thing with designers and photographers… I still feel that way when I see icons like Kristen McMenamy, Karen Elson, Guinevere, Christy in a strong edit. But they all had to start somewhere… And there are a lot of new, strong, beautiful faces from all around the world out there with the potential to cast that same kind of magic.

With so much nepotism infesting this industry nowadays, someone like this (seemingly) unknown girl with such a striking look, is awesomely refreshing.

Love this! One of my fave covers so far this year. And I actually like their choice of model for the cover. It kinda draws the attention more to fashion and art, imo.
