Speaking for myself, I feel their covers have become uninspired, I always looked forward to their to covers because they were bringing that VI vibe that was quirky, interesting etc but now the covers seem so forced and trying too hard to be ‘different’. This is all my opinion but it’s just a shame.

Mad about Krow, but this cover leaves me cold. Vogue Ukraine doing an 'Art' issue is like Instyle or American Vogue doing a 'Fashion' issue. Makes no sense because that's their bread and butter.
The EIC must also remember that this magazine was the first to copy the VI aesthetic and it worked for them. But now that we have Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic and occasionally Brazil, they simply don't stand out.

Maybe, at the core, all these Vogues are just trying to pander to the gender-neutral winds which are currently sweeping. I also used to think they're maybe just trying to break the routine with their readers, but the aggressive advertising approach when a man covers Vogue tells me that's not the case.
But I personally think they are hoping to cater to all the (mostly gay) men who also buy the magazine as religiously as women. The type of men who find GQ's brand of masculinity 'toxic', so there's this untapped market for Vogue to profit from. On TFS alone I suspect that there are more active male members than female ones. All fair and ell, but if Vogue will insist on featuring these men, at the very least, care must be taken to package them in a way which at least falls in line with the actual magazine's direction. And by that, I mean having a woman present at all times for starters.

At the end of the day, I don't need Vogue to cater to me. I don't need them to start selling me razor blades. I'm perfectly fine with British Esquire, and picking out the bits from GQ that applies to me. This is what probably what irks me most about contemporary culture. This need to reflect and appease everyone at the same time. The tragedy of the situation is that an entire generation is growing up with the dumbed-down belief that if something does not reflect them, then it's automatically against them, which is not true.
