I shapped my view with the likes of Ritts, Meisel, Lindbergh, Roversi, Mert and Marcus, Sims, even Annie. Somehow I can't give a place to Teller. His photos are not so different from the average ones you take as a tourist. I can't. I think the same as Vogue28. Sometimes he's really gross.

The plaintive aesthetic of models/stars in bluechip designers duds looking like “tourists” snapshots is the whole point. Juergen has always been the antithesis of that classic ideal of fashion as a carefully constructed, glamorous, precious and untouchable illusion.

If these were shots of everyday people, wearing Target duds, then yes, it would all be so pedestrian. But the irony of it all is he wouldn’t be who he is if it weren’t were all the high fashions by all the legendary labels he had a strong hand in shaping, along with top models and celebs being shot as pedestrian “tourists". Frankly, his shots of cells are never on the same level as his shots with models because clubs just do not compare to models. And that’s the charm— even decadence, even arrogance of his imagery….:shrugs:
