This ed is breathtaking. I'm definitely buying this.

This ed is worth buying the issue for me, how beautiful thanks for posting.

the editorial is too national geographic for my taste. definitely not buying this.

^^ I second that. I can't even see the dresses clearly...is that it? There must be something else I believe...

it looks good but I want models!

I'd love to go to Cairo, I've always wanted, and you guys are right this is definitely not a typical fashion editorail exactly, but for the sake of it being different and featuring Cairo I will probaly buy it.

Some of those pictures are sorely lacking a professional feel... they look quite average.

nothing so far interests me very much.. Cameron Diaz, Michael Thompson.. the Cairo spread is nice for what it is but if that's really the meat of this issue then i'm sorely disappointed. might be another month without W for me.

Cairo ed is very lovely! Maybe it's not very fashion, but aah.. it's wonderful

The Cairo editorial is just magnificent! The pictures are just so alive I almost feel I've been there.

imo the Cairo editorial is truly beautiful.....
and i may think that if it was exactly the same situation etc. but with Coco, Lily, Lara, Daria &Cie. very few people would say it looks like National Geographic.....
isn't it possible to show something different from a beautiful and dreamy and glossy and glamourous view of Egypt.... Do you prefer something à la Natalia in Morocco (Vogue US)???? Would you be happier it was just shot in front of some big tourists places????

I've always liked photog' who bring fashion into real life.... it's also very interesting.... saying Fashion Photography is just about studio and glamour sounds retrograde and even conservative, to me.... Didn't you like the 90s of Corinne Day and Juergen Teller etc.??????

and there it goes beyond, as the photog' also shows a political view and gives, too, the women what they deserve overthere.... Beauty!!!! it's absolutely fantastic.... it's almost emotional....

(forget about the blabla.... i'm writing quickly...... without thinking....but it's still very beautiful....)

^^Oh man you crack me up BR. :flower:

I truly agree, i am glad there is no models, or it would be the same old same old we see in Vogue, and you raise good points.Fashion photography can be more than just glam editorials ala Nick Knight,M&M its way more diverse but work like this is not as common in todays Fashion magazines thats why i guess some people need to put a label on it and say its "National Geographic" which i think is ridiclious and strongly disagree with.

I just need someone to explain something to me.

Dumb question but, W is a fashion magazine, right ? So why is this editorial published in it ? I don't want to seem narrow-minded because this is a really nice ed but i'd rather see a great fashion editorial than this in my fashion mag..:ninja:
