what are you even talking about?have you ever even watched an episode of black-ish? i don't understand how people on here make such sweeping assumptions and proclamations having no idea what they're talking about. the only reason why she's even on this cover is because of emmy nominated black-ish, in which she's also nominated for an emmy and won a GG for earlier this year.
another reason why people who don't know what they're talking about should think before they type is the fact that despite you thinking this show is 'beneath her'i'm know she's absolutely grateful to land a starring role on a popular show as an over 40 year old black woman in racist and sexist hollywood. many other actresses, including your precious priyanka chopra who's on a flop tv show in which she's earned not a single emmy, SAG or GG nom, would be thanking their lucky stars to be a part of a show like black-ish.
anywho, tracee looks great!i hope we get more pics of her (and more than just 1 pic) in the mag!
Here we go again, lol, must've touched a nerve. Sorry!
It's somewhat ironic that you continue to charge people with 'making sweeping generalisations' and 'not knowing what they're talking about' when you proceed to do exactly that. How convinced are you that I've never watched the show? Actually, don't answer that, or else this will drag out again.
This 'New Royals' theme is about rule breakers, the 'trending' or hyped type of movie and tv people in it's simplistic form. And Tracee's cover ticks quite a few boxes - Blackish, and the build-up around her personal style etc etc. So I wouldn't say the only reason she's on here is because of an award-winning show.
To further that point, Priyanka Chopra made last year's New Royals line-up and practically booked most of the mainstream US glossies without any awards or whatnot. Doesn't mean she's a good actress at all (I certainly don't think so).
I still think the show is beneath Tracee despite all your huffing, you apparently don't, to each their own I suppose. But just bear in mind that awards or prestige in this sense doesn't equate to cultural impact or good productions.
