Walter Van Beirendonck Mens S/S 2020 Paris

Why are there no skirts in this collection, Benn98?

Seriously, how does this man survive? Does he have cult followings in Japan and Belgium that I don't know about? I've never seen anybody wear his stuff, besides John Waters, and I couldn't even tell you a single store that carries him. I remember Wild & Lethal Trash being popular, but that was back in the 90s. :ermm:

Or is his line really just a fun hobby after his dayjob?

Kokon-to-Zai called, they want their funky, pseudo-intellectual Aztec-esque print back!
Are the dots from Kusama? I feel like you can't do polka dots in fashion if they're not Kusama!
Instantly lost any form of interest after all that plastic and that powder blue trousers which looks like the type which a coroner would wear.

Love how you're looking for a redeeming feature, Eugenius! Are you that invested?

He pretty much runs a cult at the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts, so maybe that's how he subsists, by making his students/followers pay him, lol.

DEAD.

This is awful, but on a personal style note, I actually have one Van Beirendonck piece in my wardrobe. A pair of light grey pants from a few seasons ago. Very well tailored, and unless I told you they were by him, you'd never know. Lol
