Wes Gordon’s resort mood board featured a mélange of printouts from the archives of Steven Meisel, Philip-Lorca diCorcia and Gerhard Richter, as well as photos of classic architecture, such as the famous Casa Malaparte on the Isle of Capri in Italy. The images all bore a common theme: vibrant and contrasting colors, particularly crimson reds and cobalt blues. “In the past we’ve been a little more muted in colors, so these are more intense and pure,” said Gordon of his lineup. “I wanted the pieces to have an ease, to not be too precious.”

Gordon rendered his modern, streamlined silhouettes in rich textiles like stretch jacquard, textured lace and dense knitwear, and his suede jackets and dresses, done in punchy red and blue tones, felt effortlessly luxurious. A tan strapless bustier dress in double-faced, unlined cotton with frayed edges channeled a chic, safari vibe and proved a cool, unconventional option for evening.
