I use the MSN one, I really like it...
You can customise it, add lists, photos etc...and there is a blog section...

livejournal.com is pretty good.. there are always things like myspace.com .. but yeah, i don't like that so much...

i, and pretty much everyone else i know, use www.blogspot.com...i like the interface, and there are a bunch of different templates to choose from.

does anyone know if blogs show up in google search? e.g if I searched for a blog on a particular topic, it'd show up?

^ it depends on how many hits that blog gets and how many other sites/ blogs it links to.

Generally, if a blog is pretty obscure, it won't show up on your search even though it may have tons of info on the topic you are looking for.
This is due to the searching algorithnm which most search engine uses.
