Anyone use Shiseido's Cotton for applying toner? There was two toner threads I could find using search options. I use La Prairie's Cellular Softening and Balancing Lotion, trouble is it's a huge glass bottle and when you tip it , product can run down the sides of the glass and that irritates me and I wont use cotton balls because that absorbs and wastes the product. I was applying it to fingertips when tipping the bottle but that can run in between fingers. I am a freak about application and not being wasteful.

I don't use toner, I feel like it's a waste of time and money. As long as the cleanser does the trick.

I love my toner: Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion. This might be THE only product from the whole Clinique range!

what is toner actually for?

Toner removes the dirt and residue left behind by your cleanser (when you tone after washing your face, you're picking up all the crap your cleanser pulled up when washing) and lowers elevated pH levels your skin has after shaving or washing your face; very important if you use an AHA moisturizer after cleansing since it won't work on alkaline skin. It's also great for people with oily skin, as it's a great way to get rid of shine.

I use Baxters Herbal Mint Toner now, but will probably be switching to something with Glycolic acid
