Using the same brand for all face treatment products

I've always used the same brand for cleanser, toner and moisturizer, or else I feel that the moisturizer ingredients won't have any effect on the skin.
I've read that you don't need to use the same brand for this products, but I've also read that you should allways use the same brand... What's your opinion on this?

I find that I need to use different brands. Mainly because skincare sets normally have the same ingredients in the cleanser, the toner, and the moisturizer. I find it more beneficial to use a combination of ingredients. For example, I use a super gentle moisturizing cleanser, a super harsh benzoyl peroxide treatment, an oil-free light moisturizer and a killer acid peel (all of which are different brands)!

I use a combination of items on my face but I use the same brand for my serum, moisturizer and moisturizing spf lotion.

My cleanser and exfoliator are different brands - one to clean make-up off and one with salicylic acid for my acne.

I have never thought about the combination of ingredients, that's a good tip

I use different brands, mostly because of the ability to combine ingredients, but also because I have found that different brands have different strengths. For example, I adore Mario Badescu cleansers, but their moisturizers are only average. Or take Dermalogica, their masks and exfoliants work for me but their cleansers irritate my skin.
