This week I was at the Hove Festival. I worked in the bar parts of the time (volunteer work, I got a free ticket for the whole festival), and I missed some concerts because I was drunk and my friend had to take a tattoo (also when we where drunk

) and so on, because there was a lot more great bands there than those I saw. Anyway, here's the concerts I've been attending for the last 5 days:
Tuesday
Junior Boys - hadn't heard them before. A friend of mine just randomly took me there while another friend and I were standing in the rain not knowing what to do this early yet. It was okay. I must admit the best thing was that this concert was inside a big tent, so we didn't had to sit in our own weeeeeeeeet tent.
Cansei de Ser Sexy - I looked forward to this one, as I know all the songs and they're so fun, but the bad sound on the stage they where playing at ruined it. And the stage was just way too big. It wasn't as fun as I thought it would be at all.
Klaxons - when I applied for a job at the festival, I asked to get Tuesday as the day off, and the reason was that Klaxons was going to play this day, and hell yeah, I chose rrrrright! It was SWEAT, PUSHING, JUMPING, DANCING in a period of time that I think was toooooo short, my leg got hurted and I was so sweaty and gross afterwards, but it was AWESOME!
Queens of the Stone Age - I used to like them a lot quite some years ago, I haven't heard anything new of them, but it was okay, and it was nice to also hear them play old songs.
Wednesday
I was working this day, so the only concert I went to was a laaaate concert with
Bright Eyes - I've seen them before (earlier this year actually), and I've never liked them much on album, but they're always better live I think. So much more edge, and it doesn't sound like Conor is going to cry every next sec

. Though the fact that I had been serving in the bar almost 7 hours before the concert, ruined it a bit (I was supposed to work during this concert, but I said I had to go to the toilet, and I nver went back...

)
Thursday
120 Days - seen them 2 times before, it's a Norwegian band who has just been bigger since I saw them the first time 2 years ago. But, they don't work at outside stages with smoke and lights when it's still sunshine outside. They just don't. And even in small inside stages, they're not as good as on a record, in my opinion.
Tokyo Police Club - I've always thought they were so
very overrated, though I went to the concert because everybody else wanted to go, even my bestfriend who had heard so much good about them (except from me), and they where so boooooring, also the fans I went to there with thought it was boring. But oh well, how can such a boring band make a show better than this?
Oh No Ono - OH MY GOD - SO MUCH FUN! We danced like crrrrrazy. The band seemed a bit nervous, but oh oh oh how we danced! I enjoyed it so much! I just want to see them again, and it was a pity I had to go before the concert was finished, because I had to reach Interpol.
Interpol - I like Interpol a lot. One of the concerts I looked most forward to. But they were just standing there, and the sound was bad. I had expected something ecstatic, but I was so disappointed. And damn those fuckings bastards behind us who thought they where on a diving contest.
Friday
The Lionheart Brothers - average, Norwegian band who've got a big hype the last 6 monthes, which I think is overrated. But surprisingly they made a very good show. Much better than I thought.
The Long Blondes - seen them before, and I liked them now also. Nothing extraordinary or something, but enjoyable. And stylish as always
Nellie McKay - talk about a cute woman! I only saw the end of the concert though, because we was on the Long Blondes, but of what I saw, she was so cute and I enjoyed the songs.
Damien Rice - I used to listen to him much when
O got out, but not much after that. I went to this concert thinking it would be okay, but it was really more than that! So good! He had such a good connection with the crowd, and his small stories between some of the songs where so cute, and I even almost cried on many of the songs. Loved this one a lot!
Saturday
Rockettothesky - she has played in my city so many times, and yet this was the first concert I've been to with her. Not that I didn't like her music, but I haven't found time. She was cute, but talked too much in the middle of every single song.
Pleasure - I thought we would dance so much on this concert, I put on Pleasure on parties all the times, but no, we actually didn't on the concert. Quite disappointing. Propably the most diasppointing concert I've been to the last year. Gah.
Modest Mouse - I don't have any relationship to this band, we just sat there, in the back.
Sivert Høyem & the Volunteers - I've always found this music boring, but the singer's voice is really good. It was an okay concert.
My Chemical Romance - hahahahahaha, we went to it just for a joke, I don't like them at all. My bestfriend and I where there for 15 minutes and screamed "Michael Romance - he's so hot!" and teased all the emo kids before we went to a electro club on the festival instead.
The Horrors - whattafuck?

Crazy, psycho stuff, and the keyboardist: I was so fascinated! A friend of mine collapsed in the crowd. Oh, it was wicked! I'm imagineing watching this band in some underground club, woha!
The Gossip - SHE'S STANDING IN THE WAY OF CONTROL! Love Beth Ditto! Love love love. So much fun, my bestfriend and I where fiiiiirst in thw crowd with a big poster, and it was amazingly much fun! An amazing end of an amazing festival. Oh god, so fun. And we met Beth Ditto after the show, and it we acted all so childish, yet fun, and she was so cool and afterwards I realized I've never been that starstruck in my life before. It was so cool.
