Are they really as comfortable as they are cracked up to be? How are they for durability and wear?
I really need to get a proper pair of girly shoes, and I saw two different pair on Easy Spirit's website that I like the looks of. They seem practical and stylish, and while $90 is not cheap to me, I know it is a fair price for a pair of shoes. Both my lumberjack boots and my Docs cost around that originally, and if I can get a few good years of wear out of them with a little care, I would be satisfied.
Anyway, here are the two different styles I am considering. Any advice or opinions?
This is my first choice. Most of the stuff I want to wear them with is fairly summery, so the openness of the style would be appropriate, but my hideous ape toes would be well concealed, which is always a big consideration! I think the ankle strap would be nice, too so that it doesn't slip when I am walking around.
This is the other one I like, in black. I'm just ambivalent about a slip-on style. They never feel secure to me... Has anyone here ever tried this shoe and could tell me if it felt like it would stay on well when they walked?
I kind of liked these, too, in black.
As you can see, I am kind of leaning toward a 1940s look and feel with the shoes, which fits well with the dresses I like to wear. I'm also needing them for to wear with my new suit, which is going to have a kind of girlified 1930s look to it.
