yes they are...and YES! i too am attracted to slightly odd things. i think they have character. lol. but i also want gold flat sandals so i dunno which to get. i dont think they are ugly, just odd and i can definitely pull them off, so i dunno.

Yoox.com have lots of gold flats - there are Miu Miu thongs for around $150 - but I'm not a fan of flat shoes so it's really difficult to know what's nice or not!!

I don't like the colous, but I think it's ok otherwise. I also think this type of requires the perfect feet. If you have wife feet, don't attempt too much will be hanging off.
