Hmm. . . I don't think it's too special. I really loved his embroidered and feathered wrist bags he did for a few seasons. IMO, those were much better.

The picture is too blurry--I can't make out what is on it. Is it appliqued, or are those tacked-on self-fabric flowers? Or is it embroidery?

I think that it is pretty, but not worth that kind of money when you could get a very similar item from a vintage shop or make it yourself. My mother-in-law has a very similar beaded bag she found in an antiques shop for $25. Something to think about.

Thanks everyone! Thoughts on this? YSL walldorf floral case $2295,Why the price is so high is because:

• The handles are bleached and polished deer horn
• The crystals are hand set into a floral pattern
• The hardware is dipped in 18K gold
• The case itself is laquered persplex

I really LOVE both of them. But I would never buy them. So much money for a purse that will never see all that much wear. Seriously how many times would you have to carry that tiny little purse to justify the cost?

Birkin, I can understand to an extent. You could use it your entire life without it going out of style.

But that little purse...

The YSL is absolutely glorious. You really love metallic bottle green and apple-blossom pink, don't you? I've noticed a lot of the evening bags you've posted that you like have one, if not both, of those colors.

go for the YSL, also i cant find a pic of it but...in the Feb. Vogue in YSL ad there is a beautiful evening bag, it has Lucite horn handle, and then the whole thing is smothered with crystal...very nice
