What Makeup Did You Buy Today?

We all know tFS' What did you buy today? and the Secret Shopaholic thread. Neither of the threads are particular make up 'friendly' in terms of discussing ones purchases, as not everyone in the threads are make up junkies.
Granted make up purchases are discussed in the make up brand threads, but I thought a thread like this might be of interest to fellow Paint regulars

A mascara, just a cheap Borgoius (sorry being pregnant has affected my spelling). Tend to buy cheaper brand mascara as I throw them away after a month or so

The other day:

After seeing danceras' results with Maybellines XXL mascara in the Green Eyes thread I figured I'd give the mascara a try

- The product is a bit too much on the dry side for my liking.. maybe I was just unlucky ? At any rate I feel I have to spend more time than I like making sure I've applied both products to my lashes.
Result wise.. Okay.. I don't have super dense lashes naturally, and just average length lashes.. and the mascara does give a bit of extra length and a bit volume.



And I got lured by a 50% off on a Maybelline 'Forever Superstay' lip colour (Rose Glacé 420 icy pink)

Loved the colour..but the current dry climate is not doing any favors for my lips..and consequently the canvas for the lip color is not perfect.. something I think it has to be in order for this product to work.. I guess I'll try it again once my lips aren't prone to dryness.

hanne i've always found maybelline mascaras dry to a crisp!
as in i feel like my lashes are about to snap off any minute . . v.brittle & flaky?
hate that! i like my lashes to feel natural?!

i just bought no.7 intense volume mascara again . .
v.natural, excellent seperation & so perfect for day
& i love the sleek understated packaging
a black tube w/flecks of the tiniest glitter & sparkles in it . .

Nothing today, YET. But I bought some Max Factor panstik yesterday and I LOVE it! It has even more coverage than colorstay but still looks natural! It is a little too rich for my skin to wear everyday, but I will def. wear it whenever I go out. I makes me look almost perfect.

It's kind of a lip stain and comes as a felt tip pen/marker. It is really easy to handle and even my boyfriend loves it (he HATES lipstick!) because it's kiss-proof. Just apply some, let it dry and then put some clear gloss on top!

MAC pigment in old gold

idk if that's the color, but it certainly looks like it is in the picture. it's a very beautiful darker gold color, and when the light hits it at different angles, there is a green shine. it's gorgeous. i love it.

I also ordered a new kit for Everyday Mineral for foundation and finishing dust.

And now i'll be starting a 3 months make-up no-buy!
