i loved winona since god knows when, but i still wince when i think of what a stupid thing getting busted for shoplifting was!

especially if you're not a teenage but a thirty-something year old woman!

Oooh pretty pretty! Not to echo everyone else here but I REALLY want her to have a comeback.

Shoplifting in comparison with some other things celebrities get away with these days should NOT be a career-killer (particularly for someone with actual talent).

Those kinds of crimes are in no way limited to teens or the poor, it's highly common for rich people to shop-lift. It's a psychological thing, and she was obviously going through something at that time.

Yeah, it was a big shock, especially coming from her, but it's been years now and it's time to move on and let her live her life without bringing that incident up.

Does anyone know the reason why she hasn't been in movies for such a long time? Was it her own desicion to disappear or can't she get any roles anymore?

RRRosa, she talked about it a bit in the Vogue interview. After the whole shoplifting fiasco she took some time off and became very selective about the films she wanted to appear in. It was a conscious choice predicated by her own need to re-evaluate things in her life / spend more time with her family. She'd sort of been working non-stop since she was around 13 so it makes sense that she'd take some time off.

She is looking a bit off in the Ferretti portraits, poor thing I hope she gets some sleep. I hope her appearance at the show indicates that she'll be wearing Alberta's designs to her upcoming events. The dresses this season were stellar and I think Winona would look so beautiful in many of them. Especially the bold colorful dresses. She wears so much black - time for some color
