oh sorry from the picture they looked like leather or not very grippy
I've got these! They're so comfy. You better do something with the soles though, they're a bit slippery.my skin never seemed to suffer too badly...i just moisturise a lot...i have quite oily skin which i think in that climate is a blessing..but my feet were always freezing... i don't have very good circulation...
i've just been looking at the la canadienne site...i love these boots!might have to check them out when i get there....wish they had prices online... these are the only ones that really stood out to me... not so sure about the rest...the heels are too chunky for me i think..

aww we wanna look cute and stay warm!Same goes for trying to look "cute" in the cold. Winter boots are for cold weather and not for style.
Agreed, I have never worn anything 'extreme' like John posted and I have lived in -20 C degrees winters. Of course high heeled boots might be out of question when there's snow everywhere, but if you need really warm winter boots, get some leather boots with fur inside. It keeps the heat in. Oh yeah and rubber soles, lol.yeah, I don't think looking good and preparing for the cold are mutually exclusive. I've been wearing my Frye Engineer boots and they keep my feet pretty warm actually
