Wolford

Ok they do run big, so which size should I get -> My legs are about 100 cm long and I wear a 38/40 in pants... size M?

^^ I think you'll be fine with the Medium if you get the mat opaque 80. Small would probably be a little too short for you.

I just got the Velvet de Luxe 66 tights last week and I love them. So comfortable and the perfect shade of black. My mat opaque's have held up really well since I bought them in March, despite me wearing them quite a lot they still look almost new after being washed. Wolford is really worth it imo..

I got the Mat Opaque 80s as a present (size M fit best). While they are definately high quality and amazing to wear I don't think I would repurchase, they are too fragile for clumsy-me.

Does anyone know what style/name these are? I'm trying to find them on ebay or online somewhere...

Aren't Wolford's fantastic mermaid? I have many, many pairs and I have handwashed them more times than I can count...still as fabulous as day one!

oh i love those as well...would love to know the name too!

i cant find them anywhere online...i remember seeing similiar styles at selfridges before so i may go have a look when i get a chance...

Hello... has anyone tried the Wolford Flash leggings? What is the thickness/sheer-ness of them? Comparable to the Satin 50? Opaque 80? TIA!

i just need to say that i still love wolford and am glad that i have some..
it's a lot to spend on tights but the experience is worth it...
it's real luxury you can feel because it's right next to your skin ...
i think you actually walk differently when you feel this pampered...

:p

Yes and they are still going strong! I added a 2nd pair of mat opaque 80s to my wardrobe this month and you can't tell a difference between my new and old onces at first glance.
They feel so comfortable worn and the fit is amazing - my hips are 38-39 inches wide and my legs are very long, but usually even tights in extra extra large made me feel like I have one hip bone too much and my legs should have stopped at my knees  ... Not so with Wolford tights - I wear a size Medium but there even a little bit too big for me^_^

I don't actually have any Wolfords. Are they worth the price? I go through tights very fast. They always rip. :/ I like my tights to be very very opaque.

If you read my posts in this thread you will notice that I had similar worries, but I have had the same pair of tights for nearly 1,5 years now and there are no rips... AND I wash them in a bag with my other laundry :p... definately worth the price imo. They are addicting.
They are only 100 % opaque when I stand though, when I sit down they become sheer on my thighs.

I have worked with Wolford for some time now and I have to say that I like the company spirit and their products as well. They might be pricy but when I have heard how the choose only the best materials and create best possible models so they last for a while in use. And these days the company has much more than just legwear. They have some lingerie, swimwear and ready-to-wear clothing for women too. They have heavy prices as well but my friends and some lingerie experts think that they are in most cases worth the high price.

And as a tip if anyone is travelling in Austria on in South Germany so you should check the small city Bregenz. It's where Wolford has it's fabric and the famous boutique and factory outlet. At least the outlet is very popular among local people and wealthy travellers as well. You can find many good pieces from recent and older collections with lower pricing. It's one of the only places to find such old models that you cannot buy from ordinary shops anymore.

More info about the boutique and outlet behind the link.

I would urge anyone to try Wolford tights - they really do feel as good as they look! I wear the Neon 40 style most days (and straight Neon for hot summer days) - I really love the shine. My favourite shades are Gobi and Anthracite.

This is what I needed to hear before investing in a pair! I wear tights all winter long since I love skirts and dresses but wasn't sure if Wolfords were durable. I am going to start with a pair of black opaque ones because well, I buy everything in black :p

I never quite got on board with the whole tights look until I found Wolford - now I'm a total addict (^(oo)^)v

Strangely, I had to size up to an S to get the proper length - I'm 5'0, 32" hip circumference, so I fall in the XS range according to Wolford's size chart (4'9" - 5'1" / 31"-37" hips), but I found the XS far too short!

Well I have heard that they have had some problems with various size charts. If I understood right they will change them for upcoming collections. So I agree, you have to do some work to find your "real" size. I have heard the same kind of feedback from few customers while working for a company that distributes Wolford.

And I heard from one of the representatives that in their far past they have had some problems with few product categories and the size ranges in them because as an Austrian company they don't know which size ranges they should use, the German, the Italian, the French, their own or something else

I am a big Wolford devotee!
Yes they are pricey and if one of their stockings rip while putting them on for the first time, you are seriously upset! haha but oh god I am the Queen of stockings (as I do not wear pants ;)) and I have never ever met a stocking superior to Wolford. Wolford is absolutely top of the bill.

I spend a lot of money on stockings, and I also own some of Wolford's clothing line. They have amazing form fitting fashion, very stylish, classic, lush fabrics...
I own 3 of the same tops from Wolford, simply because I love it so much and I dread to think they might discontinue it!

Wolford is lush love.
