truly old school, i can dig it
try pulling a search for beads. i make jewelery from time to time, so even searching just for beads ( instead of hair accs.) you can come across some exotic and exciting large sized beads, and use them for your hair.or try going into an 'african' shop that sells traditional clothes you should find some there. good luck....those are pretty cool.
