Worst Trends And Styles Of The Last 10 Years

Techno/rave clothes
Shoulderpads, even though I think 80's was stylish, if we forget some of the trends in that era
Big logos
White lipstick

like the skorts; you know the things that looks like a skirt, bt it's really just a 'super fancy' shorts! omagad:P I hate it!

here goes

1. high waisted tapered mom jeans from lee and wrangler (thelma and louise circa 1991)
2. those hideous mini skirts worn with leggings omg ( looking like a hooker from 1985 isnt cool , and wearing those clothes to school shame on you!!)
3. anything from the 80s ( I grew up in it trust me the clothes actually looked that bad !!!)
4. shoulder pads
5. Uggs
6. FLIP FLOPS
7. tattered jeans
8. designer who make ugly clothes which get praise but nobody would be caught dead in them!!!
9. von dutch
10. Those ugly peasant skirts..im done

I agree with you, except that I don't think everything in the 80's was horrible. Esp in the early years there were good things too.

Flip flops can look good when worn on a beach/on a very hot summer day, but the color should be subtle.

it's 2006...i haven't seen shulder pads since before grunge...
which is around 1992...

Hmm, yeah... I've seen shoulder pads in clothes for older (?) women - near-defunct department stores like Lerner's and Gottshalks and brands like Coldwater Creek - but not as a trend... more like the ghost of trends past... thank god.... I think a lot of us are still having a hard time grasping that ten years ago means 1996! (I know I am.) Anyhow, the superflare seventies revival jeans. Those were bad. And the giant jeans that looked like a big skirt. Those were bad.

- The Louis Vuttion Monogram bag, (espically the colourful one everyone was coyping)

what about that horrible lime green and orange phase circa 1995/6?
horrible "edgy/street" utility look- nylon cargos and parachute pants
late 90s synthetic minimalism and dark red/black lipstick
by the way when did the whole retro thing start? late 90s? I thought vintage would be dead by now but it shows no signs of dying yet.

Uggs
high-waisted jeans
elastic jeans
Louis Vuitton Murakami bags
flannel (I live in Seattle so we're the butt of the fashion jokes)
Old Navy Performance Fleece (I had some and I rocked it)
broomstick skirts
shrugs-I'm not talking the ones that are out currently, I'm talking the ones that were out in 99-00.

Louis Vuitton Murakami bags

I agree.

For some reason, I don't hate Uggs. I wouldn't wear them myself, but you see so few here that it is ok...in the winter when it is very cold that is. And not worn with any other 'celeb' must-haves.

from a male POV i absolutely hate trucker hats on women, especially when they have no style to begin with and think i can plop this huge ugly hat on my dome and im trendy.....

For men id have to say skinny suits are pretty bad. i prefer a single breasted jacket with a thin long lapel but some of helmut langs designs look like they just dont fit. The inch wide tie has to go as well.

just my .02 cents

Totally agree!

Hates:

Chav style - inc Burberry, white Lacoste trainers, etc

RnB andHip Hop culture - inc pants so saggy they show hairy ****-cracks, heavy metal chains, oversized American Football/Baseball tops, nasty looking tats on every part of the anatomy, etc

'Diva' style - dressing up cheap trash to somehow look good..

I'm sorry, but i think this list above makes the so called 'fashion disaster' decades of the 70's and 80's look dull by comparison.

Is it any wonder they are back in fashion? ^_^
