hmmm...
thanks again thomas...

can't seee much...but from what i see...i like the mix of the sweatshirts we keep seeing EVERYWHERE>>>>with some 'real' clothes ...looks a bit more polished and pulled together than some other collections we've seen...maybe a bit more mature...
but still not so serious...

this seems to strike a good balance...looking forward to the rest...

sometimes the backstage photos are more intriguing than the runwaying ,even their dynamism

Hi everyone! I'm new here... just wanted to say I love Xavier Delcour! (plus, i do own a similar bracelet, but it's H&M's!)

Not sure. I'm not really a huge fan Delcour but it looks interesting though.

If Raf Simons goes to HELMUT LANG or JIL SANDER , Xavier will fill Raf's place in the Belgian pantheon , as I cannot see Bertelli allowing Raf to continue with his own line .

ALL the more reason for Raf to resist Bertelli's blanisments .

Otherwise .........

If Raf Simons were to give up his own line, it would be another mishap in the menswear world after the departure of Herr Lang and Frau Sander, in less than 6 months' time! :(

You know,I highly doubt that would happen. Raf is too much consumed with his own work and he just recieved a big check from Gwand a year ago to continue,so I don't think he would give it up to work Bertelli. And that's another story there

Agreed. Plus he teaches in Vienna, doesn't he? I really hope he doesn't take the bait.

There are too few pix of this collection to judge, but it doesn't look like anything too interesting. It's a bit better than the previous few, though, a little less new romancy. I like the belt too, Chris.

I really liek it so far! Much better than last season, wich i thought was a little boring. I love the first turtel neck, the swet shirts the jackets:heart:

"Would you design for a big house? 'Absolutely. I would do it for so many houses.'

Really? Vuitton, Gucci, etc...? 'Yes I would design for many brands. And if Helmut Lang decides one day to stop designing, I would love to be his successor (laughs).'"

-Raf Simons, Anthem Magazine #15

what can I say, hopefully he'll make the right choice. he did that stint for Ruffo Research, he seemed to like it, but then again, Ruffo doesn't breathe down your neck...

who knows what will happen? i doubt that prada group would hire raf at this point. i have no idea how prada group is going to treat the helmut lang label post-helmut. i wouldn't be surprised if they axed both lang and sander's labels, really.

Ugh Xavier turns out the same tired looks season after season. I almost didn't bother clicking on this thread because I knew exactly what it would look like. And I was right.

Haha...so true Metal...that's why I grew tired of him myself.

regarding Raf,maybe he was being sarcastic when he said that? Hence the "laughs" at the end? I know he did the Ruffo thing but that's hardly anywhere near the pressures of Bertelli's arrogant nose,as you said Faust. I don't think that'll ever pan out doing Helmut. I would expect Raf not to like being dictated...especially now that everything is in the open.

I doubt that he was being sarcastic...it is evident (in word and action) that he admires Helmut Lang. More likely that he was laughing at the idea that Helmut would step down (ironic now isn't it?).

It is entirely possible that he could design in a more restrictive environment like Prada Group if he were still designing his more avant garde clothes at his own label.
