Xiao Wen Ju

I think it's last season..? Im not familiar with the collection i just took it off img

Which is it? I just assumed it was S/S I didn't actually read the caption. It looks a lot different from the F/W campaign to me, but IDK.
I hope she gets it though!

Cardigan for S/S? I don't think so, i'd say it's 12F/W, or Prefall ,could be accessories too as it highlights scarves and earrings

2012 Chanel Cruise for Neiman Marcus

I don't mean to be nasty, but her chest is so flat in those chanel shots. :p I guess it doesn't matter as long as you come out elegant and high-fashion. I still couldn't believe she has got this far in her career. I guess the Chinese buying power in high-end fashion is really making major changes for the whole industry, including the modeling business. Can you imagine an Asian model with her kind of looks would have shown up in a Neiman Marcus catalogue or campaign even like 15 years ago? It's quite amazing.

I think the images are beautiful and she's all covered up. That chest comment is unfair...

But anyway, I remember seeing Asian models in Neimans, Saks and Bergdorf catalogs a lot in the 80s and some in the 90s.

I do find those Chanel shots beautiful too. Of course those luxury retailers have always used Asians in their catalogues, but I am not sure if we ever saw them using anyone who was such a typically "plain-looking" Chinese girl before Xiaowen. Trust me, I spent most of my lifetime so far in China, and I know exactly what an average plain-looking Chinese girl is like.B) Xiaowen is cute, adorable, and maybe also kind of exotic-looking to lots of non-Asians, but by no means she fits into the image of a pretty Chinese girl to 99% of Chinese people. That's why I find her quick rise to the stardom in the modeling business so amazing. I mean, don't we associate Neiman Marcus instantly with Texas where the ideal of beauty tends to come as being "big" and blonde?

She looks stunning in the attire!
